YouTube Thumbnail with Play Button for 2025 Annual Celebration

Thank you to everyone who joined us, helping toast to 100 expeditions and raise $100,000 during this year's Annual Celebration. During the evening, R/V ANGARI was dockside for attendees to tour and learn about ANGARI’s mission of supporting marine science through affordable research charters and hands-on STEM education programs. Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and live music, and participated in a silent auction. Photos from the evening can be viewed on the 2025 Annual Celebration webpage.

ANGARI Foundation’s Annual Celebration received generous support from Gold Sponsors Bentley Palm Beach and Onshore Construction & Development; Silver Sponsor Sentient Jet; Bronze Sponsors Benjamin F. Edwards, IJL Real Estate Group and Kenneth S. Morton; Event Film Sponsor Smith and Moore Architects; Photography Sponsor Scott Davis Kossoff; Auction Sponsor Gunster; and Beverage Sponsors Hanzell, Patz & Hall and Worth Avenue Yachts.

Next April's Annual Celebration is going to be special as 2026 marks 10 years for ANGARI Foundation!

SHARING MARINE SCIENCE WITH FLORIDA EDUCATORS

FMSEA 2025_Concurrent Session_Credit Amanda Waite - ANGARI Foundation

In April our education team headed to St. Augustine for the 2025 Florida Marine Science Educators Association's (FMSEA) annual conference. The ANGARI team was excited to present our marine science research and education programs to formal and informal educators joining from around the state of Florida.

In addition to catching up with familiar faces, we were excited to meet many new FMSEA members and look forward to continuing to work with them and further engage them in our education programs.

This summer marked the 8th year R/V ANGARI and her crew participated in University of South Florida's Oceanography Camp Especially for Girls.

During the 3-day expedition, 31 campers worked with scientists, peer mentors and the R/V ANGARI crew to collect samples and environmental data from three sites located inside and outside of Tampa Bay. Campers had the opportunity to use a variety of oceanographic tools, from microscopes to plankton nets to Niskin bottles, and much more. Visit the expedition webpage to get all the details.

R/V ANGARI SET UP FOR CHARTER IN THE BAHAMAS

R/V ANGARI visited The Bahamas this past April and has secured the required Bahamas charter permit and licenses for 2025. This means that any upcoming charter in 2025 will have reduced fees.

While The Bahamas continues to increase their fees year after year, ANGARI continues to do whatever we can to keep charter costs low for researchers working in the area. If you'd like more information on our operations, please visit our website for vessel and charter details and to inquire about chartering R/V ANGARI.
