POWER & MOTORYACHT MAGAZINE HIGHLIGHTS HURRICANE DORIAN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT WORK
A special report, written by Bob Arrington, in the January 2021 Power & Motoryacht magazine highlighted this past fall's "Hurricane Dorian: Impacts Below the Surface" panel of experts and their discussion on the hurricane's environmental impact and destruction to the Abaco reefs and subsea habitats in The Bahamas. Organizations have been working tirelessly to study, cleanup and restore the reefs since the category 5 hurricane hit The Abacos in September 2019. Read more.
YEAR CONCLUDES WITH FUNDRAISING SUCCESS
We're excited to announce that ANGARI Foundation has been named as the recipient of a $25,000 Palm Beach County CARES for Nonprofits grant. This grant is made possible through the support of United Way of Palm Beach County and the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners.
This year's Giving Tuesday was also an enormous success. We surpassed our goal and raised $24,000 to continue our mission to support marine science research and education. Thanks to everyone for their support!

R/V ANGARI COMPLETES 35TH EXPEDITION AND GEARS UP FOR 2021
In 2020 we safely and effectively supported several research trips and completed our 35th expedition. This year R/V ANGARI spent 29 days at sea and traveled 1000 nautical miles.
COVID-19 continues to pose challenges to fieldwork and research funding. In response, we are helping offset costs to scientists and will be allocating additional funds to support R/V ANGARI research expeditions through Spring 2021. Learn more about charter opportunities and COVID-19 guidelines.
OCEAN EXPERT EXCHANGE GOES GLOBAL
Since launching in April, we and our partners at the University of Florida have hosted nine Ocean Expert Exchange webinars featuring experts in a variety of marine science and tech disciplines.
We're pleased to have engaged diverse audiences during these live events, including 1000+ viewers from 26 states and 43 countries.
In December we attended the American Geophysical Union's Fall Meeting. ANGARI team members Amanda Waite and Angela Rosenberg presented in a virtual poster session, sharing ANGARI's hands-on educational programs, as well as distance learning opportunities offered in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
During Spring 2021 the intern will gain experience in a broad range of education projects, including lesson design, running virtual learning programs and planning outreach events.
Applications open through January.
